Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Service Connect mobile application and related services ("Platform"), operated by Catalin Bondari (sole trader), Brookwood Abbey, Brookwood Grove, Dublin 5, Ireland. By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.
1. Service Description
Service Connect is an online marketplace that connects clients seeking services with independent service providers across Ireland. We provide the technology platform to facilitate discovery, communication, bookings, and payments. Service Connect is not itself a provider of the services listed on the Platform and does not employ service providers.
2. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Platform.
- Service providers must have the legal right to work in Ireland and hold any licences, insurance, or qualifications required for the services they offer.
- By using the Platform, you represent that all information you provide is accurate and that you meet these eligibility requirements.
3. User Accounts
- You may maintain one account per person. Shared or duplicate accounts are not permitted.
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
- You must provide accurate and up-to-date information in your profile and listings.
- You must notify us promptly of any unauthorised use of your account at serviceconnectie@gmail.com.
4. Service Listings
- Service providers are solely responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and legality of their listings, including descriptions, pricing, availability, and qualifications.
- Service Connect does not verify every listing and does not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of services offered by providers.
- We reserve the right to remove or suspend listings that violate these Terms or applicable law.
5. Bookings and Payments
- Bookings and payments are processed through Stripe, our third-party payment processor.
- Service Connect charges a 10% platform fee on completed bookings. This fee is deducted as part of the payment process.
- Prices displayed on listings are set by providers. You agree to pay the agreed amount for confirmed bookings.
- Service Connect is not a party to the contract between client and provider for the underlying service, except as the facilitator of the booking and payment.
6. Cancellation
- Users may cancel bookings in accordance with the Platform's cancellation features and any applicable provider terms.
- Refund eligibility for cancelled bookings depends on the timing of cancellation and the status of the booking. Specific refund rules may be displayed at the time of booking.
- Service Connect is not responsible for disputes arising from cancellations between clients and providers, though we may assist in resolution at our discretion.
7. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Engage in fraud, misrepresentation, or payment abuse
- Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
- Post fake, misleading, or illegal service listings
- Circumvent the Platform to avoid fees or conduct off-platform transactions solicited through the Platform
- Scrape, copy, or misuse Platform data or intellectual property
- Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
- Impersonate another person or entity
Violation of these rules may result in suspension or permanent termination of your account.
8. Intellectual Property
The Service Connect name, logo, app design, software, and all related intellectual property are owned by Catalin Bondari or its licensors. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Platform for its intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the Platform without our written consent.
You retain ownership of content you submit (e.g. listings, photos, reviews) but grant us a licence to use, display, and distribute that content on the Platform as necessary to operate our services.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Irish law:
- Service Connect is a technology platform only and is not liable for the quality, safety, timeliness, or outcome of services provided by third-party providers.
- We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure at all times.
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform.
- Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall not exceed the fees paid by you to Service Connect in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under Irish law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud.
10. Termination
- You may delete your account at any time in-app via Account > Settings > Delete My Account, or by contacting serviceconnectie@gmail.com.
- We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms or if required by law.
- Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ireland. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts, without prejudice to your rights as a consumer under applicable law.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app, by email, or by other appropriate means before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Platform after notification constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. The "Effective Date" at the top of this page indicates when these Terms were last revised.
